There are a lot of demand to increase on the high speed and capacity of telecommunication network due to increasing  of internet traffic dramatically.

The device that many receivers can use optical signal simultaneously by dividing the delivered optical power to multiple output ports.

Major types was made of optical fiber before but had many problems like Low yield, high cost in more than 4 channels.

So, It has been produced with Silicon wafer base on PLC Technology.
